Join Bill Weaver and Kathy Kujala as they share their research and personal accounts of the pictographs in Algonquin Park and the Canadian Shield. Kathy and Bill bring a unique perspective to the Anishinaabe and Algonquin Rock art revealing the sacred meaning behind this traditional art form. Please register to save your space.

TD Summer Reading Club

In the year of Canada's 150th birthday, the TD Summer Reading Club invites kids to celebrate what makes books, libraries and Canada great, by encouraging them to open up to new ideas, new characters, new landscapes, and to one another.  So look forward to some great illustrations, book recommendations, ideas, and fun with the TD Summer Reading Club 2017. Salut!

TD Summer Reading Club Launch at River Mill Park

Everyone is invited to join in on summer reading fun at our official launch at the Rotary Bandshell at River Mill Park.  Enjoy musicians, face-painting, pop-up Art in the Library, button making, food and refreshments.  

Kids are invited to use their creativity to celebrate Canada 150!  Visit the Pop-Up Art in the Library table at the TD Summer Reading Club Launch at River Mill Park.  Use art supplies provided to create a piece of art with a Canada theme.  Art will be displayed in the Children's Library for July and August.  See you there!

Art in an Hour

Local artists are invited to share their talents at the Library!  Artists may sign up for a one hour creation session and will be given a canvas on which to create a Canada-inspired piece of art.  Artwork will be displayed in the Library during July and August.  Pieces will be available for sale beginning July 3, 2017.   Cost:  $75.00
