The Huntsville Public Library has a number of programs for adults including: craft and exercise programs, movie showings, workshops, author events and more.

Book Clubs

The Huntsville Public Library has several book clubs you can join. You must register to join any of our book clubs. 

Wednesday Afternoon Book Club
The Wednesday Afternoon Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
  • June 26- Choose your favourite novel and share! 
  • July 24- Any novel by Susanna Kearsley
  • August 14- Any novel by Ted Barris

Literary Libations

What was once called Books and Brews, has morphed into Literary Libations! 

  • Theme 1:  Redpole of Macau by Ian Hamilton
  • Theme 2:  Suzanne by Anais Barbeau-Lavalette
  • Theme 3: The Circle by Dave Eggers

Looking to express your creativity? Join us for an afternoon of crafts, a chat and coffee. Each month we will give you the instructions and materials needed for some DIY fun.

Thursday's at 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

Join in to watch a great documentary each month. Space is limited, so make sure to drop by the Library to get your free ticket in advance.

VON SMART Exercise
The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) offer the SMART exercise program at the library. The SMART program is a gentle fitness program designed for adults ages 55 and up.

These classes do not include any floor or mat work. Some exercises may use a chair for balance.
