The Huntsville Public Library has a number of programs for adults including: craft and exercise programs, movie showings, workshops, author events and more.

Book Clubs

The Huntsville Public Library has several book clubs you can join throughout the year. You must register to join any of our book clubs. 

Wednesday Afternoon Book Club
The Wednesday Afternoon Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

Crafternoon

Looking to express your creativity? Join us for an afternoon of crafts, a chat and coffee. Each month we will give you the instructions and materials needed for some DIY fun.

Friday's 1:00-3:00pm

Advanced registration is required and closes 1 week prior to each program date. Cost $5.

Downton Abbey Tea Party

Your favourite TV show Downton Abbey hits the big screen on September 20 and we are celebrating with a tea party. Join Christine Kropp of Whimsical Bakery for a demonstration on preparing the perfect cup of loose leaf tea and enjoy some yummy scones too.

Fabulous Foodies

Christine Kropp of Whimsical Bakery and the Library are teaming up again for a club that will delight your inner foodie. Set at the industrial kitchen at Bullock's Independent, there will be a themed cooking demo each month while we chat about cookbooks, our own kitchen trials an tribulations and of course sample the creation once complete.

Introduction to Dreams

Everyone dreams. have you ever wondered about your dreams? Why do we dream? Where do dreams come from? how can dreams help us to know ourselves better and help us to find wholeness and meaning in life? Join Jungian Analyst, Suzanne Musters, for an introductory exploration of the amazing world of dreams.

Triple P Parenting

Triple P Seminars are an informal presentation for large groups of parents. Registration is through Muskoka Family Focus at www.muskokafamilyfocus.com or 705-645-3027 ext. 200. 

 Cancelled - Parents of Teens on Cannabis Use
Join public health nurses to learn more about cannabis, the current legislation, and what we do know about cannabis use. This workshop will provide parents with some suggestions to help deal with pressures teens may experience.

VON SMART Exercise
The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) offer the SMART exercise program at the library. The SMART program is a gentle fitness program designed for adults ages 55 and up.

These classes do not include any floor or mat work. Some exercises may use a chair for balance.
