Computer and Technology Classes

Huntsville Public Library offers free computer classes for adults. The classes aim to help you understand and feel comfortable using some of today's commonly used software and technologies.

Classes run on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All classes require registration.

Windows 10 Basics

Learn the basics of the Windows 10 operating system and some of its features, including the Start Menu, the Taskbar, File Explorer and more. Participants must bring their own devices. Registration is required, limited to 8 people.

Learn how to organize files and photos on your computer. The class covers how to create and name folders, copy and paste files, how to use an external drive (USB stick) and how to import photos from a camera. Participants must bring their own devices. Registration is required, limited to 8 people.

What’s the difference between texting and sending messages through Messenger? Learn all about the different communication apps available on a mobile device like: FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp and more. Participants must bring their own devices. Registration is required, limited to 8 people.

The Silhouette Cameo is the ultimate DIY machine. It uses asmall blade to cut over 100 materials, including paper, cardstock, vinyl, and fabric up to 12 in. wide. Learn the basics of creating with the Cameo and the Silhouette Studio software and take your maker projects to the next level. Registration is required, limited to 5 people. Program cost: $5
