Seedy Saturday

April 27 from Noon until 3PM

Welcome to our annual Seedy Saturday event! There will be activities for all ages, including a kids craft area, vendors, hands-on booths, a seed exchange and giveaway and educational speakers. Don’t miss this gardening event of the year!

Beeswax Wraps

April 23 at 6PM & April 25 at 1PM
Join us to create your very own beeswax wrap. These sustainable wraps offer you the ability to store, wrap, and carry your food without the waste created by other plastic wraps.

Compost Giveaway
April 18 beginning at 10am

Pick up free nutrient rich compost soil, just in time for spring! The Town of Huntsville, in partnership with the District Municipality of Muskoka, will be giving away free compost at Conroy Park. Residents are responsible for shovelling their own compost.

  • First come, first served while supplies last.
  • Bring your shovel. No motorized equipment allowed.
  • Bring a container or bag for your compost.
  • Cost: Free

Hadwin's Judgement Film Screening

April 25 at 7PM

Films That Make You Think! will be celebrating Earth Week with a special showing of Hadwin’s JudgementJoin us to watch a documentary featuring Gary Hadwin that unwraps the inspiration behind the award winning novel The Golden Spruce.

Muskoka Stewardship Conference

Presented by the Muskoka Watershed Council, the stewardship conference provides an opportunity for lake stewards, land stewards and other interested members of the public to network, share ideas and learn about stewardship topics from a variety of experts.

Storytime and Craft

Join in an Earth Week themed preschool storytime includes 45 minutes of stories, songs, rhymes, finger plays, music shakers, scarves, followed by simple Earth Week craft.

Are you interested in having a tree planted in your yard? Enhance your lot and the streetscape by planting a native tree. Dowload and fill out the application today
Zero Waste Bathroom

April 24 at 7PM

Join Celine of Sustain Ecostore to learn about the hidden plastics in your bathroom and what you can do to reduce your waste. Participants will have the opportunity to get hands on with some sustainable bathroom items during this interactive workshop.

Zero Waste Kitchen
