While the library has temporarily suspended in-person programming, we are now offering unique virtual programming.

NEW - Virtual Storytime

Amber McNair, our Youth Services Librarian, will be offering Virtual Storytime using Zoom. Virtual Storytime will include stories, songs, rhymes, bounces, finger plays, and scarf songs. Let's sing together (virtually)!Person on screen waving cloth

Aimed at children ages 0-6 and their parents/caregivers.

How to Participate in Virtual Storytime

  • Download the Zoom app
  • Sign in with the Zoom Meeting ID or link, along with a password, that has been emailed you to by Amber McNair. If you would like to be added to the email list to receive weekly meeting details, please email Amber McNair.
  • Please have a facecloth, small piece of fabric or thin scarf available to participate in the educational scarf songs!

Update regarding Zoom

In order to follow Zoom security recommendations, we will be implementing selective meeting invitations, a required password and the waiting room feature.

A parent/caregiver of the Virtual Storytime participant(s) will receive a weekly email from Amber McNair with meeting details. The email will contain the Zoom Meeting ID and link, along with a required meeting password. When joining the Zoom meeting, participants will first enter a waiting room, and the meeting host will allow entry. 

If you would like to be added to the email list to receive weekly meeting details, please email Amber McNair.

NEW - Virtual LEGO Builders Club

Have LEGO at home? Want to build at the same time as other kids and share your creations virtually with each other? Amber McNair, Youth Services Librarian, will be hosting Virtual LEGO Builders Club. Each week there will be a build challenge. Join a Zoom meeting to share, show and describe what you have built at home!LEGO Challenge

How to Participate

  • Find out the weekly build challenge
  • Build with LEGO at home before Virtual LEGO Builders Club or during the program
  • Download the Zoom app
  • Sign in with the Zoom Meeting ID or link, along with a password, that has been emailed to the participant's parent/caregiver. If you would like to be added to the email list to receive weekly meeting details, please email Amber McNair.
  • During the program, build and see what other kids have built and have the option to share and describe your creation!

Download and Print the Book BINGO card

  • No printer at home? Find some markers and copy the BINGO squares onto your own paper or poster!
  • Mark each box when the activity is completed.
  • Fill a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line to complete a BINGO.
    • Or challenge yourself to fill in the whole BINGO card!
  • Ask an adult or teen family member to post a photo of your completed BINGO card to their social media and tag us!
