The Huntsville Public Library offers programs for kids of all ages, with a focus on reading, technology and fun.

Baby/Toddler Storytime

Baby/toddler storytime includes 30 minutes of stories, songs, rhymes, bounces, finger plays, and sensory activities.

Ages 0 to 2. Registration required.

Preschool Storytime

Paws To Read®

Paws To Read® allows children to read aloud to a certified therapy dog. Children may register for 15-minute time slots. In partnership with Therapeutic Paws of Canada.

Our STEAM Club is a monthly club that offers activities on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). There will be building, experiments, art, tech gadgets and more.

Minecraft

Do you love Minecraft? Join our Minecraft program to design and build in creative mode, and work on build challenges. No experience necessary.

Ages 7 to 12. Registration required. $10 per session.

Tech Gadgets for Kids

Learn about new and innovative technologies. Try out introductory coding with Cubetto and Dot & Dash, learn about 3D printing with a 3Doodler Start, and learn about circuits using Cubelets and Little Bits.

Ages 5 to 9. Registration required. Register separately for each program date. $2 per program.

3D Printing for Tweens

Join us for an introduction to 3D printing and 3D object design. Design your own 3D model using TinkerCAD and have it printed using our 3D printer.

Ages 10 to 13. Registration required. $5 per session.

PA Day Seasonal Green Screen Photos and Button Making

Drop by the library to have your photo taken with the green screen. Choose from selected backgrounds and have your photo emailed or printed.

Make a button using your own design or a prepared seasonal image.

Homeschool Library Afternoons

We offer a monthly homeschool program. Homeschool families are welcome to bring children and teens for an afternoon of learning and discovery about a different topic each month.

Storywalk® at Fairy Vista Trail

Get outside during the PA Day and join us for an outdoor literacy event. Follow the book The Gruffalo down the trail. Meet at the Fairy Vista Trail parking at 620 Highway 60.

The Storywalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.

Youth Tech Extravaganza

Celebrate Ontario Public Library Week by visiting us for the 4th Annual Youth Tech Extravaganza. Try out tech gadgets, robotics, 3D printing and much more! Find out what you can do at the library and learn about tech in our community. All are invited.
