Friends of the Library
A registered charity, the Friends of the Library is a voluntary, non-profit group founded in 1990 to promote programs, services and facilities of the Huntsville Public Library.
What we do. . .
- Improve library collections.
- Buy equipment such as: computers, lounge chairs, gallery hangings, etc.
- Provide funding for performers in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion during March Break and the summer.
- Provide funds for capital projects, for example: shelving, technologies, etc.
How we raise funds. . .
- Sell books from the boutique at the front of the library.
- Special book sales at Christmas and during the spring and summer.
- Donations.
Donate to the Friends
Donations keep us going and every dollar goes directly to future improvements and purchases. Donations of $15 and more receive a tax receipt. Charity registration number 888319464.
