Teen Volunteer Positions

Looking for volunteer hours? Love your local library?! Apply to be a Summer Reading Club Volunteer! 

Ideal candidates:

  • need high school volunteer hours
  • hope to gain experience interacting with kids and the general public
  • assist library staff and Library Barry

Volunteers will:

  • Interact with kids and families who are reporting the number of books they read
  • Spin a spinney wheel with questions to ask kids about their reading
  • Stamp tracking sheets
  • Do some decorating
  • Help with Lego

Hours: 2 hour shifts during kids programs at the library. No evenings or weekends! Sign up for shifts that work for you.

Time Commitment: 3 shifts (2 hours each), plus volunteer orientation.
 
Experience: priceless! 
 
Volunteers must be 14-17 years old
