    Love chess or want to review how to play? Visit your library to play a few games of chess. Please register in advance.

  • Water Bottle Decals for Teens July 15, 2025 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    Make your water bottle unique! We will prepare some Muskoka themed shapes on sticker paper in advance. If you want your name to be printed, let us know when you sign up and we’ll prepare it for you!

    Ages 12-18

  • Create Kooky Characters with Feltalala July 29, 2025 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Learn how to use a needle and wool to create 3D characters from your imagination! Join Pamela Steel of Feltalala and make your own unique felted character. All materials provided.

    Registration required. Ages 11-18.

Become a teen book reviewer

Teen book reviewers choose a book from the library’s collection, or an eBook/Audiobook from Libby to read and review. The book review can be a 100- to 200-word written review or a short 60 second or less video.

The book review will be posted on the Huntsville Public Library’s social media, and the written review posted to Teen Advisory Group’s Goodreads bookshelf. The Teen book reviewer will receive five hours of community volunteer service for each review.

Reviews are submitted to Amber, our Youth Services Librarian.

Responsibilities

  • Read a book from the Library’s collection
  • Record a short review (under 60 seconds) or write a book review (100-200 words)
  • Submit book review to Youth Services Librarian

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be between the ages of 14-18
