Try out PlayStation VR or enjoy Nintendo Switch or classic Wii games with others at your library! Ages 13-18 can drop-in and use the gaming consoles that are set up in the Friends’ Multi-Purpose Room with Teen Tech Sophia.

Love chess or want to learn how to play? Visit your library to play a few games of chess.  Ages 8-18.

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

High school students in the Huntsville area are welcome to join TAG. TAG members chat about what they are reading, help with book displays, share their ideas, and earn community involvement hours by participating in meetings. Contact Youth Services Librarian to join or just come to a TAG meeting!

Teen Book Reviewer

A new, exciting volunteer opportunity! The Teen Book Reviewer will choose a book, graphic novel or book on CD from the library’s collection or an eBook or Audiobook from Overdrive to read and review. The book review can be a short video (under 60 seconds), or a written review of about 100-200 words.

The book review will be posted on the Huntsville Public Library’s Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok, the Huntsville Library Teen’s Instagram, and the written review posted to Teen Advisory Group’s Goodreads bookshelf. The Teen Book Reviewer receives 5 hours of community volunteer service for each review.

Reviews are submitted to Amber, Youth Services Librarian.
