Friends of the Library Kids Events

The Friends of the Library provide entertaining and educational events in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 during the summer.

Tickets for each event are $3. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the library. On event day, tickets are available CASH ONLY at the door. Thank you very much to the Friends of the Library and the Huntsville Legion for sponsoring these events.

  • Scales Nature Park at the Legion July 15, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The Friends of the Library provide entertaining and educational events in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 during the summer.

    Learn about amazing animals then get to meet them in Scales Nature Park’s most popular program! There are two parts to the event. First, staff will deliver a talk on amphibians and/or reptiles. Next, several animals from the presentation will be available for hands-on interactions.

  • TEAM T&J Kids Jumpin’ Jamboree at the Legion July 29, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The Friends of the Library provide entertaining and educational events in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 during the summer.

    TEAM T&J‘s Kids Jumpin’ Jamboree take interactive entertainment to incredible heights with a high-energy, super-powered music show for every kid and family. This is a live experience like you’ve never seen! The first show is just a warm up, you’re kids will be jumpin’ back for more!

  • Speaking of Wildlife at the Legion August 12, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The Friends of the Library provide entertaining and educational events in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 during the summer.

    Meet 5 native Ontario wildlife ambassadors and gain a better appreciation for the wildlife around us. This presentation may feature animals such as porcupine, hawk, bobcat, turtle, skunk, goose, owl, snake, etc. and includes information about each individual animal, their species, adaptations and habitat.
